2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide tarot readings — Your questions are processed to generate readings
  • To save preferences — Language, reading mode, and AI model selection
  • To generate insights — Analyze your reading patterns (with your history)
  • To improve the Bot — Aggregate statistics (anonymized)

3. Data Storage

We store your data in two ways:

  • Local Storage: Data is saved locally in JSON files on the server. This is the default mode.
  • Cloud Storage (Optional): If enabled, data is synced to Firebase Firestore for backup and cross-server access.
Data Security: We take reasonable measures to protect your data. However, no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties.

  • Your data is only accessible to the bot developers
  • Aggregate statistics (anonymized) may be shared for development purposes
  • If you use AI features, your question is sent to the selected AI provider via 9Router

5. Data Retention

  • Your data is retained as long as you use TarotBot
  • You can delete your data anytime using !deletedata confirm
  • Data may be retained in backups for a reasonable period

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — View your data with !exportdata
  • Delete — Delete your data with !deletedata confirm
  • Opt-out — Disable AI features with !aioff
  • Correction — Update your preferences anytime

7. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time:

Command: !deletedata confirm
This will permanently delete all your readings, journals, and preferences. This action cannot be undone.

8. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Discord — Platform for the Bot
  • 9Router — AI Gateway for model routing
  • Firebase (optional) — Cloud storage
  • AI Providers — Various AI models for interpretations

9. Children's Privacy

TarotBot is not intended for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us.
